The Cornerstone Mortar is supplied made with natural hydraulic lime and natural sands, providing an authentic heritage aesthetic for the restoration or conservation of traditional solid-walled buildings.
From general building to pointing stonework or brickwork providing the breathability, flexibility and durability that the building fabric needs to stand the test of time.

Heritage Mortar from The Lime Centre is a traditional wet lime putty mortar.
The colour comes from the sand and the mortar dries to buff yellow.
This is suitable for pointing or laying soft and fragile brick and stone. The joints can be finished with and open texture exposing the minor variations in particle size.
It is breathable and is ideal for old buildings because it allows moisture in the walls to escape.
Curing is slower than hydraulic lime and work needs to be completed before the end of summer to give time for hardening before winter.
