Duro
Duro is a lime render base coat mainly used for external render but also for internal plaster. Lime Green Duro is a breathable render made with natural hydraulic lime and is ideal for old buildings because it allows moisture in the walls to escape.
When used outside it is finished with a topcoat of Natural Finish or Lux Render available in a range of natural colours, so decoration is not required. If the topcoat is to be decorated, then Beeck Mineral Paint is the ideal product because is highly durable and microporous.
If Duro is used for inside plaster then a smoother finish is achieved by using a thin coat of Solo lime plaster over the Duro basecoat. The Solo finish can be left undecorated but is it is usually finished with a breathable lime paint, or mineral Paint.
