fter working on the conservation of historic buildings for many years, Bob Bennett became increasingly aware that whilst there was an abundance of academic material available, there was little or no practical training for those involved in the industry. The Lime Centre at Morestead, Winchester, Hampshire was set up to offer consultancy, practical training and a ready supply of materials which are not generally available from the builders merchants. The Lime Centre is now recognised as a centre of excellence with course participants coming from throughout the United Kingdom, United States, Sweden, Canada, India and Austria.

 
Apart from producing a wide range of ready mixed lime mortars, plasters, renders and washes, Bob has also advised and worked upon a number of interesting and challenging projects, a few of which are detailed alongside.
